In 2002, the first Liverpool International Tennis Tournament brought world-class tennis to the city.
Twenty-five years on, Europe’s longest-running tennis exhibition is still serving up incredible tennis in the heart of Liverpool.

Along the way, we’ve given emerging players a stage, introduced thousands of young people to tennis and established Liverpool as an important stop on the road to Wimbledon.

The Liverpool International Tennis Tournament is back in June, giving top ATP and WTA players essential grass court practice ahead of the world’s most famous tennis competition, Wimbledon.
Since the inaugural tournament in 2022, event organisers Northern Vision have brought some of the world’s best players to Liverpool, including Novak Djokovic, David Ferrer, Marat Safin, Caroline Wozniacki, and Martina Hingis.
After the success of last year’s event, organiser Anders Borg wants to reinforce Liverpool’s position as one of the UK’s top tennis locations, especially for young players.
“In Liverpool, it’s it’s hard to compete with football. But all kids should have two sports up to the age of 12 or 13. We’d like tennis to be their second sport, if not their first,” he says.
“We built the Liverpool International Tennis Tournament to encourage youngsters to get involved in the fantastic sport.”
Our three-day event at Liverpool Cricket Club, from June 19th – 21st, will again showcase the finest up-and-coming talent and established players.
